We're proud to partner with Tree4Trees, an NGO dedicated to reforestation in Indonesia, where our garments are thoughtfully made. Through this initiative, we pledge to plant one tree for every online order, helping to restore local forests and offset the environmental impact of e-commerce. 

More about the foundation

The Trees4Trees™ program is conducted and supervised by a registered non-profit foundation, Yayasan Bumi Hijau Lestari (Sustainable Green Earth), established in Indonesia. The program empowers local communities through partnership reforestation initiatives and related education programs. The foundation is also known by the name under which it provides its core services and program, Trees4Trees. 

Trees4Trees has established a tree-planting program providing free tree seedlings of high value species which are distributed to local farmers and small-holder landowners in Indonesia. The foundation raises awareness and improves understanding of the environmental, social and economic values associated with growing trees, through education. The program provides technical guidance to help the tree recipients maximise these values. Mobilising participation from the local communities and providing tangible benefits to tree recipients is essential in ensuring the program’s success.

How it will work

Each month Piyama will share Shopify sales reports with Trees4Trees. Trees4Trees will invoice Piyama for the donated tree’s (valued at $1 USD each, approx. $1.64 AUD), with an additional $30 USD monthly administration charge.

Why we are doing it

Giving back is an important part of the Piyama philosophy. Each tree we plant is a small token of gratitude - to Indonesia, where our products are lovingly made, and to the planet at large. 

While tree planting may not erase our footprint entirely, it's a step toward restoring balance - and one we're proud to take. We're excite to grow our impact, one tree at a time. For more information, feel free to reach out to us anytime.
